ABOUT

Born in spring of 1991, Lucca Leandro Barbery is still drawn to warm climates. Perhaps because of his Latin American roots, perhaps simply for his interest in humans and their stories. After completing an apprenticeship as a draftsman and work experience in the field of architecture and gastronomy, he completed a Fine Arts degree with a focus on photography at the Zurich University of the Arts. In his photographic practice, he is particularly interested in the composition and framing of real, time-limited moments. Existing objects appear in the form of selected and fragmented elements. The camera never appears as a disturbing factor, but contextualizes, frames and draws delicate scenes.
